The Hi-Touch is a fan-less system with the result that it is effectively noise-free, and fits ideally into either the restaurant/hospitality or retail environments. The elimination of a fan removes one of the common potential failure points of a system where dirt and dust builds up in the fan cavity area, whilst the bright 15” screen has a IP43 rating to prevent water seepage into the unit – an important consideration for the hospitality sector.
With regards to both ergonomics and environmental considerations the Hi-Touch again delivers – having a small footprint, ideal for the customer service environment and utilizing a chip set and CPU which deliver economies from low power usage. The whole system can also incorporate a customer facing screen for feeding price/sale information or advertising.
The Hi-Touch can be also delivered with pre-installed with the dedicated retail/hospitality Microsoft operating system WEPOS. This provides a software environment that is more economic than other operating systems and provides a platform that has been specifically designed for point of sale.
